Here are some safety practices at our program.

  • All entrances are secure and inaccessible from the outside. Only authorized parents or guardians are permitted in the building. Visitor Logs or ID checks may be used to ensure security.
  • All gates leading to the parking lot are self latching.
  • We have a surveillance system all around the property.
  • We have a safe and clean environment, we routinely check to ensure all play spaces, indoor or outdoor are clean, free of hazards and well maintained.
  • All outdoor play areas are fully fenced and age appropriate.
  • All classrooms have an emergency backpack that includes a first aid kit, emergency procedures for each type of emergency, a file including the emergency contacts of all students and staff in the room and a red cross booklet that goes over all types of first aid.
  • Fire drills, earthquake drills and shelter in place drills are conducted regularly
  • Throughout the building there is a commercial fire alarm system, smoke detection, and carbon monoxide detectors.
  • All staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, Food Safety and Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • All staff are trained in safe sleep practices.
  • All staff have a cleared background check and experience working with children.
  • Our program follows the appropriate child-to-staff ratios in each classroom. Ensuring a priority towards child supervision.
  • All staff complete ongoing training.
  • Staff maintain hand washing routines and encourage children to do the same.
  • Staff keep detailed incident and injury reports to reflect on safety practices and effectively communicate with families.
  • We are a nut free facility to cater to those with allergies.
  • All wires are mounted to the walls, and all electrical outlets are tamper resistant.
