Overview

In the Ocean Room, we nurture curiosity as children begin to explore the world around them. As they develop mobility—crawling, walking, and climbing—our classroom provides engaging activities that align with their interests. At this stage, language development blossoms as children start communicating with adults and peers. Our structured yet flexible environment encourages interaction, early speech development, and hands-on exploration.

Transitioning to independence is a key focus in this classroom. We help children shift from bottles to sippy cups and eventually to open cups, supporting fine motor development. They also begin drinking whole milk or alternatives while expanding their diet with new solid foods. As they grow, we introduce sitting at a table for meals and activities, fostering patience and focus. Approaching age two, we gently introduce potty training at a pace tailored to each child. Our theme-based curriculum brings learning to life through songs, games, and interactive play, covering topics like letters, numbers, shapes, and movement. Monthly themes—such as Fairy Tales, Nursery Rhymes, Farm Adventures, Hello Spring, and Going on a Picnic—offer immersive experiences that spark creativity and excitement in learning.
